Police Arrest Suspect Accused Of Robbing Shaler Twp. GetGo

SHALER TWP. (KDKA) - Police say they have arrested the man accused of robbing a Shaler Township GetGo at gunpoint.

Officers say it happened Monday just before 1 p.m. on Mount Royal Boulevard near Wiljohn Street. The suspect reportedly came into the store and made a purchase, walked out, and returned a few minutes later with a handgun.

He ordered the employee to give him everything in the register and fled in a blue Ford four-door car with a sun roof.

Police identify the suspect as 29-year-old Adam Voelker. He turned himself into authorities Monday night.

He is facing charges of robbery, theft, receiving stolen property and possessing instruments of crime.
