Damage Seen Across Area After Storms Sweep Through Multiple Western Pa. Counties

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Storms and flooding swept through western Pennsylvania again Monday afternoon.
Multiple severe thunderstorm and flash flood warnings were issued in several counties throughout the day.

Kennywood announced it would close early at 4:30 p.m. due to inclement weather. Boyce, North, Settlers Cabin and South park pools also closed for the day.
Allegheny County officials reported the 800 block of Freeport Road flooded in O'Hara Township. Freeport was also closed at Powers Run Road due to an embankment failure. Half of Powers Run Road was blocked and trees were on power lines.
In Glenshaw, a branch fell onto a moving truck. A witness says a tree fell along Middle Road and that the big branch went through the windshield of the truck. The driver was okay.
There were also reports of Duquesne Light power outages throughout the Pittsburgh area during the afternoon. At one time, more than 1,200 customers were without power.
Hail about the size of peas fell in Washington County around 2:30 p.m.
And in Greene County, the storms uprooted a tree in Dry Tavern, Jefferson Township.
