Severe Storms Leave Behind Damage In Armstrong, Indiana, Lawrence Counties
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Damage wasn't as bad as it could have been as storms moved through areas north of the city Thursday evening.
Tornado warnings were issued for both Armstrong and Indiana Counties, but damage seemed to be limited to downed trees, some in East Franklin Township near Kittanning.

"No more severe weather expected [Friday]. As a matter of fact, it should be a quiet day [Friday], as it was across most of the area today. Those cells that did some of the damage were isolated in fashion," said KDKA Chief Meteorologist Jeff Verszyla.
In Shenango Township, Lawrence County, some huge trees were pulled out of the ground, utility poles knocked over and wires pulled down.

The storm did some unwanted landscaping in James Patton's yard.
"Uprooted my apple tree in the back, probably a six foot strong oak tree in the backyard, just uprooted and laid it back down," said Patton.
Some power outages were also reported.
Fortunately, there were no injuries.
On Friday, Verszyla says it will be in the upper-80s and the best chance to see a few showers will come Friday night. A few showers are also expected on Saturday.
