Man Rescued From Allegheny River Near New Kensington

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. (KDKA) - A man has been reunited with his family after he was rescued from the Allegheny River.
Police and rescue crews were searching for the man in the river near New Kensington Monday just before noon.
It was an active scene right off of Logans Ferry Road. NewsChopper 2 captured the rescue efforts by police and crews.
The Logans Ferry second assistant fire chief told KDKA the man was in distress, but crews were able to rescue him.
Several departments were on scene, including the Plum Police and Fire Department and the Monroeville Fire Department and Dive Team.
The man is now back with his family.
