Scout Profile Of Steelers' Potential First Round Draft Pick

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) – Many mock drafts have the Steelers selecting a cornerback with their first pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, but Kirk Larrabee of 247Sports.com has a scouting profile of a safety that could be in the mix.

According to Larrabee, the Steelers could be interested in Alabama safety Landon Collins.

The 6-foot, 228-pound Johnson recorded 90 tackles and three interception while being named first-team All-SEC as well as a unanimous All-American.

Collins is rated by many as the best safety in a weak class of safeties, but is still projected to go somewhere near the bottom of the first round or early second round.

With the future uncertain for Troy Polamalu but looking more and more like he won't be back next year, the Steelers will likely be in need of another safety to start alongside Mike Mitchell.
