Former DA Detective And Wife Are Facing Nearly 40 Charges Of Fraud, Embezzlement
BUTLER, Pa. (KDKA) -- Stephanie and Scott Roskovski appeared before a magistrate following their indictment on 37 federal counts for embezzlement, mail fraud and money laundering.
Stephanie Roskovski was the Chief Operating Officer for the Butler Health System, her husband Scott is a former Detective for Butler County D.A.
From April 2011 to December of 2017, they are accused of getting money and property through fraudulent means, As C.O.O. Stephanie Rostkovski had access to a credit card, she is accused of spending over $500,000 for personal use.
The affidavit says she obtained 48 checks worth $489,000 from the CEO for falsified disbursement and over $300,000 in gift cards.
Court papers show the money was used for personal expenditures including family vacations, household furnishings concert tickets.
The indictment says they purchased a motocross racetrack called Switchback. The government is seeking a more than $1.2 million judgement from the couple. It is also seizing their home, the motocross race track and four vehicles.
