School Officials: 6th Grader Admits To Making Swastika In Playground Mulch

MT. LEBANON (KDKA) -- The Mount Lebanon School District says it's looking into an offensive symbol found at one of its campuses.

Superintendent Timothy Steinhauer says a sixth grade student has admitted to creating a swastika in the mulch at the Washington Elementary School playground back in October.

The image has been shared many times on social media.

The district says they have notified the Mount Lebanon Police Department about the incident.

The superintendent says the district has a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination.
