Saturday's weather will be all about the temperature before snow showers move through

KDKA-TV Morning Forecast (11/29)

Tonight, snow showers move in, and winds pick back up with gusts around 20 mph. Our temperatures are near the freezing mark; some areas could be slick overnight.

Average High: 46 Low: 31

First Alert: None.

Aware: Tuesday: More of a possible First Alert Weather Day with several inches of snow possible.

Winds shift out of the south, which will warm up our temperatures, helping to lessen snow accumulation and switch snow to a wintry mix late morning and a few rain showers by midafternoon.

The Laurel Highlands and Ridges of Westmoreland and Fayette are under a winter weather advisory from 3 a.m. until Sunday at noon due to some possible small ice accumulation, but about one inch of snow is expected there as it'll be harder to warm up above the freezing mark.

A half-inch to an inch can be expected for areas near Pittsburgh and north overnight and early tomorrow morning. Winds will strengthen Sunday during the day up to 30 mph, and that will make it feel in the 20s for the Steelers game.

On Monday, we are mostly cloudy with highs below normal in the low 30s. The below-normal trend sticks around through the week, and we could get a good bit of snow on Tuesday, where some models are showing 2 to 4 inches in Pittsburgh, and other areas could see up to 6 inches.

This will change as we get closer, and totals could very well go down, but this is just a heads up!
