Four-Time Super Bowl Champion With Pittsburgh Steelers, Sam Davis, Found Dead

McKeesport (KDKA) -- A 75-year-old man with dementia in McKeesport who had a decorated career with the Pittsburgh Steelers was found dead after being reported missing.

The authorities confirmed Sam Davis was last seen in McKeesport on Versailles Avenue around 6:50 a.m. on Tuesday leaving the New Life Care Personal Home in McKeesport.

On Wednesday, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner said his cause of death was atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and manner of death was natural.

Davis won four Super Bowls with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1970s.

He was found dead hours after authorities reported him missing. He was discovered deceased at his residence.

He was considered endangered. Davis was legally blind and in need of his medication.

Police say they found nothing suspicious or criminal.
