Names Released Of Two Killed In Route 85 Crash In Armstrong County

RURAL VALLEY (KDKA) -- Police have released the names of two people that were killed in a crash in Armstrong County on Friday afternoon.

Thomas Lowell Dean, 86, of Dayton, PA, and Jacob Adam Iseman, 32, of Ford City, were both fatally injured when the vehicle Dean was driving crossed the double yellow line and struck Iseman's car head-on.

It happened on Route 85 near North Water Street and the Elderton State Bank in Rural Valley around 4:30 p.m.

Dean was the driver of a 2002 Gray Chevrolet Silverado 1500, traveling east on State Route 85 when he crossed the yellow line, striking a 2010 Ford Fusion going west driven by Iseman.

Both men sustained multiple blunt force traumas. Both were wearing their seatbelts and were pronounced dead at the scene. The causes of death were multiple force traumas. The manner of death was ruled accidental.

The crash is under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police.

Funeral arrangements for Iseman are being handled by Welch Funeral Home, Ford City, and Dean's are being handled by Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Rural Valley.
