Route 65 Reopens Following Police Chase Crash

AMBRIDGE (KDKA) – Route 65 in Ambride has reopened after a police chase suspect crashed early Thursday morning.

According to police, officers attempted to pull over a BMW SUV in Leet Township for an expired registration around 3:30 a.m.

The suspect took off and led police on a chase, which ended in a crash at the intersection of Merchant Street and Route 65 in Ambridge.

The suspect was not seriously injured, but they were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The northbound lanes of Route 65 reopened around 5 a.m.

At this point, the suspect's name has not been released.
