4 Killed In Wrong Way Crash On Route 65

HARMONY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Four people were killed in a wrong-way collision on Route 65 in Beaver County late Sunday night.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. in Harmony Township.

41-year-old Denise Feathers of Baden, was traveling on Merchant Street, and the she turned the wrong way onto Route 65, driving north in the southbound lanes.

She crashed head-on into another vehicle, driven by 34-year-old Bryan Highfield of Ambridge.

37-year-old James E. Williams of Midland and 35-year-old Dana Marie McCandless of Beaver Falls were also killed in the crash.

All four died of blunt force trauma and were all ruled accidental.

One other person was injured in the crash and their condition is not known at this time.

Crews were on scene for almost seven hours to clear the wreckage.

The southbound lanes of Route 65 didn't open until after 5 a.m. Monday.
