Motorcyclist Killed, Driver Injured After Crash On Route 380 In Westmoreland County

MURRYSVILLE, Pa. (KDKA) - The coroner was called to the scene of an accident in Westmoreland County that police say killed a motorcyclist in his 20s and injured a driver.

The driver was identified as 24-year-old Gregg Leipertz of Lower Burrell.

The cause and manner of death will be determined after an autopsy and toxicology report.

Dispatchers confirmed crews were near the intersection of Route 380 and Fairview Lane in Murrysville.

Police say his motorcycle collided with a car that was exiting the 380 Auction Discount Warehouse. First responders had to shear off the top of the car to rescue the woman inside.

According to the Westmoreland County Coroner, Leipertz was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

She was taken by helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. There was no update on her condition.
