Four people hospitalized after crash between Jeep and tractor-trailer on Route 38
OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) - A crash in Oakland Township in Butler County this morning has left four people in Pittsburgh area hospitals with serious injuries.
Four people, Sara Brown and Clayton Snow of Butler, Benjamin Claypoole of Emlenton, and one unnamed child were traveling southbound on Route 38 and Oneida Valley Road near the intersection of Weed Road in a 2005 Jeep Liberty just before 2 a.m.
The four passengers in the Jeep, ranging in age from 13-20, were all flown to Pittsburgh area hospitals with what were described as "severe injuries."
All are listed in critical condition.

State police say that at some point Jeep went over the yellow line into oncoming northbound traffic, swerved back, hit an embankment, and flipped.
That's when officers say the tractor-trailer also collided with the Jeep.
Everyone in the Jeep was transported to Pittsburgh area hospitals with severe injuries and is currently in critical condition. Despite damage to his truck, John McGary of North Cambria was not hurt.
No word yet on what caused the Jeep to swerve and flip, but an investigation is ongoing.
Several troopers we spoke with on scene say that this stretch of Route 38 and Oneida Valley Road is very dangerous for motorists.
