2 injured in crash on Route 30 near Saint Vincent College

Two people were injured after a crash on Route 30 near Saint Vincent College on Friday morning. 

State police said the crash happened just after 6 a.m. along Route 30 at the intersection with Wimmerton Boulevard in Unity Township, Westmoreland County. 

According to police paperwork, the crash happened when a Ford Explorer driven by a 60-year-old man was turning from the middle lane onto Wimmerton Boulevard. The other car, a Honda Civic driven by a 20-year-old man, was traveling the other way on Route 30. 

The 20-year-old was seriously injured and the 60-year-old suffered minor injuries, police said. 

After the crash, westbound Route 30 was shut down.
