Pedestrian Pinned Between Vehicles In Route 30 Crash

NORTH BRADDOCK (KDKA) -- A pedestrian became pinned between two vehicles in a crash on Route 30 Monday evening.

It happened just after 7 p.m. in North Braddock.

According to state police, a 28-year-old woman from McKeesport was trying to put gas in a Buick Terraza parked in the right lane of traffic on Route 30.

As the woman was walking behind the vehicle, a 70-year-old driver in a Chevrolet Cruze struck the woman.

State police say the woman was pinned between the two vehicles in the crash. She was transported to a local hospital in an unknown condition.

A 10-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl were in the Buick Terraza at the time of the crash. One child was transported from the scene with a minor injury.

Route 30 was closed in both directions between Electric Avenue and the Westinghouse Bridge for more than two hours.

The road has since reopened.
