Crews Battle Large Brush Fire Near Route 28

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) - Crews battled a brush fire that burned in Allegheny County near Route 28.

Allegheny County says a brush fire on Burtner Road and Route 28 scorched 5-6 acres, but the blaze was put out quickly.

It's believed the fire was sparked by a utility wire being knocked down by a tree.

A West Penn power fixed the downed line.
