One Killed In Motorcycle, Car Crash In Monroeville

MONROEVILLE (KDKA) -- One person was killed in a crash involving a motorcycle and a car in Monroeville on Friday afternoon.

It happened in the 3700-block of William Penn Highway around 3 p.m.

Allegheny County Police say when officers arrived at the scene, they found the motorcyclist, a 48-year-old man, suffering from traumatic injuries.

He was later pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been released.

According to police, the motorcyclist was traveling westbound and crashed into the side of a vehicle that was coming out of the Bob Evans parking lot.

Westbound lanes were closed temporarily, but the scene has since been cleared and the lanes have reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.
