KDKA's Lindsay Ward reports that Noah Lowman, 19, was killed in the crash.

According to police, the driver of the box truck was headed southbound, making a left onto I-79 northbound when he cut off the victim who was driving northbound.

The box truck overturned onto the car, killing the driver instantly.

Gregory Johnston works and lives nearby. He says speed is a major issue.

"People come flying off the interstate and don't realize that it immediately turns to 25 and they have to make a left hand or a right hand [turn]," Johnston said. "Pretty much every day there's a head-on crash, tractor trailers are flipping over."

The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt; however, officials say he will like face charges. He is from Ohio.

A large presence of first responders were on the scene much of the morning and into the afternoon hours. Police were directing traffic around the area, as officials investigated and cleared the scene.

It's a scene Robinson Township Police tell KDKA they see all too often on that road and in that intersection.

"We patrol this area heavily. The stats are there, we have a lot of fatal crashes here, we do a lot of aggressive driving enforcement and "Click It or Ticket Enforcement," and people aren't getting the picture still," says Sgt. Noel Pilewski, with the Robinson Township Police.

Johnston believes something needs to be done or serious crashes like this one will only continue.

"They need to change the speed limit, and they need to put more traffic lights and time them better," he said.
