Riverhounds Spend Day With Special Needs Children
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Who hasn't imagined what it would feel like to score the game-winning goal?
Over the weekend, the Pittsburgh Riverhounds welcomed more than 130 families to Highmark Stadium on the South Side for a special event.
"A fun day in the sun, and a fun day for kids to enjoy soccer. Come out and enjoy themselves, both the kids as well as their families," said Barry Bohn with the Watson Institute.
The Watson Institute serves children with special needs and their families.

"We partnered with them [the Riverhounds] four years ago. We thought it was great that they bring a lot of expertise in soccer, and we know soccer is such a popular sport here in the Pittsburgh area, and we just thought it was a great fit for both of us to give back to the community," said Bohn.
The Riverhounds players put the kids through their paces.
"For us, it's a give back to the community, for them to enjoy the day," Bohn said.
