Patriots' RB LeGarrette Blount Suspended For 2015 Season Opener

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - The NFL is suspending New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount for the first game of the 2015 season.

The news was first broken by ESPN NFL Writer Adam Schefter.

According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the suspension is for violating the league's Policy for Substances of Abuse.

While with the Steelers in 2014, Blount carried the ball 65 times for 266 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games before being cut from the team after leaving the field before the end of a game due to his lack of playing time.
