Report: Two Boys Found Dead After Amber Alert Issued In Missouri

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KDKA) -- "It is my sad duty to report we had a very tragic ending to an Amber Alert."

Officials reported Saturday that a Amber Alert issued for two young boys in Missouri had ended in tragedy.

According to CBS St. Louis, St. Louis County deputy police chief Ken Cox announced that investigators believe 43-year-old Christopher Cadenbach shot and killed his two sons, then took his own life during an exchange with responding officers at the park.

An Amber Alert had been issued for 4-year-old Owen Cadenbach and 5-year-old Ethan Cadenbach earlier Saturday.

The suspect's mother told police the children could be in danger, leading to the Amber Alert.

Cox said there was an active arrest warrant for Cadenbach out of Franklin County on domestic violence charges. It carried a bond of $100,000.
