Report: Steelers TE Heath Miller Restructures Contract

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - It's that time of year where the Steelers restructure players contracts to create more cap space, and the latest player to help the team reportedly is tight end Heath Miller.

According to NFL Network Reporter Ian Rapoport, Miller had a cap hit of $9,5 million that will be lowered under the new deal.

Our Steeler Insider and Post Gazette Steelers Beat Writer Ed Bouchette weighed in on the matter as well pointing out that Miller was going into the final year of his contract, meaning that the team either extended or reduced Miller' contract.

Coming off ACL surgery last year, the 31-year-old Miller put together 58 catches for 593 yards and one touchdown, but appeared to get stronger as the year went on, suggesting his knee was getting closer to 100%.

Stay tuned to 93-7 The FAN as more news becomes available on Heath Miller's restructured contract.
