Report: Steelers Pick Up 5th-Year Option On Guard David DeCastro

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Having established himself as a key cog on the Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line, the team has picked up the fifth-year option on guard David DeCastro.

The former first-round draft pick of the Steelers back in 2012 will now remain with the team through at least the 2016 season, but a contract extension is likely to be coming at some point.

DeCastro and the rest of the offensive line will have their work cut out for them in the first three games of the season as it was announced running back Le'Veon Bell will be suspended for three games next year.

In Bell's place, the line will be blocking for free-agent signee DeAngelo Williams.
