Report: Steelers First Round Selection of Ryan Shazier Gets B+ Grade

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Although the first round selection of Ryan Shazier by the Pittsburgh Steelers came as a surprise to many, that doesn't mean it wasn't a good use of the 15th overall pick.  Shazier fills a need at inside linebacker and brings speed to a defense desperately in need of it as he has been clocked running the 40-yard dash at 4.35 seconds.

CBSSports.com NFL Writer Josh Katzowitz wrote about the drafting of Shazier by the Steelers and went as far as to give it a grade of "B+" saying that he tested through the roof during his workouts, and may be the type of player than can start right away.

Katzowitz also adds some of the insight by many draft experts in his article, where you can see what they think of the newest Steelers linebacker.

Meanwhile, 93-7 The FAN Featured Columnist Colin Dunlap wrote about the Steelers draft choice saying just because he wasn't the player you were hoping for doesn't mean you shouldn't give him a chance.

Stay tuned to 93-7 The FAN for continuing coverage of the 2014 NFL Draft.
