Report: Sharks, Sabres Receive Permission To Interview Dan Bylsma

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - With the Toronto Maple Leafs winning the Mike Babcock sweepstakes, teams looking for a new head coach are now moving on to their next option, and that might be good news for former Penguins head coach Dan Bylsma.

Both the Buffalo Sabres and San Jose Sharks have received permission to interview Bylsma for their coaching vacancies.

Teams need to get the Penguins' permission to interview Bylsma, because he is still under contract with the team for one more season.

Bylsma sat out the 2014 season after being fired by Penguins General Manager Jim Rutherford prior to last year.
