Report: Pittsburgh Vying To Hold Army – Navy Game At Heinz Field

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Several cities have expressed interest in holding the Army – Navy game and according to reports Pittsburgh is one of them.

The Baltimore Business Journal reports that Pittsburgh is one of 10 cities who would like to host the game.

This year's game will be played Saturday at M&T Bank Stadium, before returning to Philadelphia in 2017.

The two military academies have yet to announce where they will play in 2018 and beyond.

Ten cities have expressed interest in hosting the game, including Baltimore, Seattle, San Diego, Dallas, Houston, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, and Washington, D.C.

The games have to be played at the NFL venue of each city, and the venue must hold at least 70,000 people.

Formal bids for future games will be made in January with Army and Navy officials visiting the interested cities in the spring. Decisions could come as early as May.
