Report: Pittsburgh Named Finalist To Host World Junior Hockey Championship

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh has reportedly been named a finalist to host the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championships.

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune Review, Buffalo and St. Louis are the other two finalist cities.

The tournament features future NHL players from 10 different countries.

The Trib reports organizers of the event will visit the three cities over the next month. They are expected to choose within the year.

The annual tournament is held in December and January and has been held all over the world.
