Report: Pitt Reaches Out To Greg Schiano To Replace Paul Chryst

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - With Paul Chryst possibly being named the next head coach at Wisconsin, the rumors have already begun swirling as to who Pitt will hire to replace him.

As Jerry Hinnen of CBSSports.com writes, Pitt has had contact with former Rutgers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano.

The 48-year-old Schiano has been out of football since being fired as the Buccaneers head coach following the 2013 season.

Under Schiano's guidance from 2001-11, Rutger's went 68-67 in the former Big East Conference and at no point won an outright conference title.

Stay tuned to Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN for the latest on Pitt's search for their next head coach.
