Report: Pitt Football Fields Top 5 NFL Talent

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Around these parts, fans are very aware of the large amount of NFL talent the University of Pittsburgh puts out.

Now, Pitt is getting recognized for that on the national level.

Mike Huguenin of 24/7 recently rated the top five schools that could field the best 22-player starting lineups using only players drafted from their teams.

The Pitt Panthers come in at No. 4 four, ahead of Texas and behind No. 3 Miami, No. 2 USC and No. 1 Notre Dame.

The Pitt team consists of some elite talent and is littered with Hall of Famers like Dan Marino and Tony Dorsett.  All in all, the NFL team made entirely of Pitt players is an impressive one with current All-Pro's like Larry Fitzgerald and Darrelle Revis on the list.

Huguenin even writes about the Pitt talent calling them a "surprise team" given all the talent that has come out of the Oakland campus.
