Report: Pitt Basketball To Hire Jeremy Ballard As Assistant Coach

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- It looks as though Pitt basketball coach Kevin Stallings has added an assistant to his staff.

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.com was first to report that Stallings has hired Illinois State assistant coach Jeremy Ballard.

Ballard has been an assistant coach for the past 11 seasons. He spent last season at Illinois State. Prior to that, Ballard was with Shaka Smart at VCU for three seasons (2012-15), and before that, he was an assistant with Tulsa for five seasons (2007-12).

Prior to his time with the Tulsa, Ballard was an assistant at Mercer and Colgate (his alma mater).
