Report: Pirates And Korean Infielder Agree To Terms

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - According to Jim Bowden of ESPN, the Pirates and Korean Infielder Jung-ho Kang have agreed to terms.

There have been reports throughout the day, including one from Kang's team in Korean, that he is coming to Pittsburgh on Wednesday for a physical, which would indicate a deal was likely to happen.

The Pirates' plans for Kang are not yet known as many baseball experts have assumed it's unlikely he'll play shortstop here. There has been some speculation that this could signal the end for either Neil Walker or Pedro Alvarez if the team decides Kang is worthy of being an everyday player.

Kang had a huge 2014 season hitting .356 with 40 home runs and 117 RBI.
