Police: Man Violates Protection Order, Terrorizes Estranged Wife
WASHINGTON TWP. (KDKA) -- A Washington Township man is facing charges after he allegedly terrorized his wife and burned her house down.
Daniel Rumon, 53, had been ordered to stay away from his wife earlier this year after serving time in jail for threatening to kill her.
Just before noon Saturday, officers were called to Gill Road on report of a man barricaded inside a home, threatening to burn the structure down. Firefighters blocked the road off for hours, but did not approach because police were not sure if Rumon was armed.

Rumon allegedly held a gun to the woman's head, tied her up and set fire to the house. She managed to escaped uninjured.
Unfortunately, the house burned to the ground.
Rumon was found lying next to a creek bed several hours later, with a handgun and a dog next to him. He was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital in unknown condition.
He is charged with violating a protection from abuse order and will be charged with other counts once the investigation is complete.
