Report: Lance Moore Asks Steelers For His Release

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Just two years removed from a 1,000-yard receiving season with the New Orleans Saints, Steelers receiver Lance Moore put up just 14 catches for 198 yards and two touchdowns in what can only be classified as a disappointing season.

Coming off this past season in which he wasn't even dressed for games at times, Moore has requested his release from the Steelers as first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Moore has one more year left on the two-year contract he signed with the Steelers in the 2014 offseason, after spending eight seasons with the Saints.

Releasing Moore would save the Steelers $1.5 million in cap space.
