Report: Jets' Mangold Heckles Penguins During Game 3 To No Avail

NEW YORK (KDKA) – A member of the New York Jets reportedly made a name for himself during Game 3 between the Penguins and Rangers.

According to the New York Post, Nick Mangold, dressed in a Rangers jersey, was sitting behind the Penguins' bench for Tuesday night's contest.

Prior to the third period, Mangold was yelling at the Penguins' players and coaches. It reportedly reached a point where security needed to tell him to calm down – several times.

Mangold attended the game with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Eric Decker.

Penguins captain Sidney Crosby says he noticed him yelling behind the bench but couldn't really tell what he was saying.

"If he comes to the game and wants to do that, he's got his ticket he can do what he wants. It's not typically what you see, but I don't have a problem with it," Crosby said.

It's nice to see local sports teams pulling for each other. But, Mangold's efforts were ignored as the Penguins won the game 3-1 and lead the series 2-1.
