Report: FSU QB Jameis Winston Suspended For First Half Versus Clemson

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Florida State announced on Wednesday that they have suspended starting QB and reigning Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston for the first half of their upcoming game against Clemson after yelling an "offensive and vulgar" quote in the Florida State student union.

Jerry Hinnen of CBSSports.com has the university's statement as well as Florida State Head Coach Jimbo Fisher's comments on the matter.

Winston spoke with the media calling his actions a "selfish act," while admitting he has "to tone it down."

As you might remember, Winston has found himself in trouble in the past as he faced rape allegations in 2012, and received a citation for shoplifting crab legs.

Starkey and Mueller weighed in on the latest Jameis Winston news and whether or not the punishment was enough.  Starkey calls the suspension "bogus" adding that if FSU thought the action was suspension worthy, then he should have been suspended for an entire game.

Chris agrees but says FSU wouldn't suspend him for an entire game because they don't want to lose.
