Report: Browns Don't Want To Start Manziel Week One Against Steelers
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Since the day he was drafted by the Cleveland Browns, there has been much speculation about whether or not Johnny Manziel would be able to unseat incumbent Brian Hoyer as the teams starting Quarterback.
Now reports that have surfaced make it sound like Manziel's ability to start in week one may have more to do with who they play, rather than how he plays.
Browns Beat Writer for the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Mary Kay Cabot was the first to report on the Browns uneasiness with starting Manziel week one against the Steelers.
#browns have never wanted to send Manziel into the lion's den of Pittsburgh sept 7. JFF will have to make it impossible for them to sit him

As Ryan Wilson of CBSSports.com wrote on the matter, the Browns claim they remain more confident in Hoyer as their starter as he'll start their second preseason game against Washington.
An interesting twist to that narrative though is that the Browns began practice on Friday with Manziel taking the first-team reps.
