Report: Attorney General Kane To Soon Face Charges In Ongoing Investigation

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- There are new developments surrounding the ongoing criminal investigation of Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane.

The Pittsburgh Tribune Review is reporting Kane is expected to be charged criminally as soon as Thursday.

The charges are in connection with an investigation by a statewide grand jury.

The grand jury found Kane leaked secret information to a newspaper to embarrass political enemies.

The grand jury also said Kane lied in testimony in an attempt to cover it up.

Just days ago, the grand jury recommended criminal charges against Kane, including perjury, criminal contempt, obstruction of justice and official oppression.

Kane denies all of the charges.
