Registered Sex Offender Accused Of Assaulting 13-Year-Old Girl

GREENSBURG (KDKA) -- A registered sex offender is back behind bars, accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in Westmoreland County.

Police in Greensburg arrested Christian Leach after they say they were tipped off by the girl's grandmother.

Police say they found the teen hiding in Leach's shower.

"The officers got on scene and he denied that she was in there," said Capt. Chad Zucco of Greensburg Police.

According to police, the girl told investigators Leach alleged assaulted her multiple times and may have given her a sexually transmitted disease.

"We talked briefly about this new complaint, and the biggest thing for him right now is that he is disputing all of the charges, that it is a misunderstanding and he is telling me that once everything shakes out, once this thing goes to trial, that the truth will come out," said defense attorney Anthony Bompiani.

Leach spent time in jail after he was convicted of sexual assaulting a child back in 2012.

He's now facing a list of charges including indecent assault of a child

He's being held in the Westmoreland County Prison on $150,000 bond.
