Report: TV Host Regis Philbin Dies At 88

LOS ANGELES (KDKA) - Long-time television host Regis Philbin has died at age 88, according to a report from People Magazine.

The Bronx, New York native hosted such shows as "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" and "Live! With Regis And Kelly."

Philbin broke the Guinness World Record for hours on TV, originally held by Hugh Downs, with nearly 17,000 hours in front of a camera.

In 2006, Philbin was inducted into the Broadcast Hall Of Fame.

Although spending a lot of time on TV, Philbin graduated from Notre Dame in 1953 with a degree in sociology.
