Recent Accidents Put Spotlight On Amusement Park Ride Inspections

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Some recent accidents have put the spotlight on the issue of amusement park ride inspections.

This weekend, a 10-year-old boy died from a neck injury while riding a waterslide in Kansas. The slide has reportedly not been inspected since it opened two years ago.

At a county fair in Tennessee, three children fell 40 feet after the ferris wheel basket they were in tipped over. All three children survived the fall, but one child is still in the ICU.
