Ramon Foster: We're A Good Fantasy Team, But That's Not Enough

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Steelers OL Ramon Foster joined "The Fan Morning Show" in his regular weekly spot on Tuesday to break down the team's roller coaster loss out in Seattle.

Foster said the most frustrating part of the loss was that the Steelers played well enough to win convincingly, but didn't execute when it counted.

"We really could have won that game in a big way, I think," Foster said. "If we executed everything that we're supposed to...I feel like there was more opportunity there for us. That was the most disheartening thing I took from it."

Foster feels that this has been a consistent theme for the Steelers this season.

"It didn't add up," Foster said. "That's one of the problems we've had. We've been killing it as far as the stats, and everybody having a great time for all the fantasy owners and stuff like that, but we haven't put up the points as a team. We've got to do that."

In Foster's mind, it's a matter of capitalizing on their own success, of not only racking up yards, but also making sure that doing so translates into scores.

"We can't get down to the end of the field and make something bad happen," Foster said. "As an offense, definitely, we've got to capitalize. That many yards on offense should show a lot more points than what we have."

In addition, Foster addressed the ill-fated fourth down call where the Steelers checked out of a field goal formation and had Landry Jones move into a shotgun formation and pass the ball. The play resulted in a momentum-changing interception for the Seahawks.

"I thought it would work," Foster said. "But...a linebacker and their secondary, they were yelling, 'There's a quarterback holding the ball!' And then they did a defensive check. They checked to something. So, I was like, 'Uh oh, this is either going to be feast or famine.' And it was definitely famine for us on that call right there. They're a smart defense, and they definitely sought that out right there."
