Ramon Foster Voices Feelings About Josh Scobee's Struggles

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Steelers' offensive lineman Ramon Foster joined "The Fan Morning Show" on Tuesday for his regular weekly spot, with his team in the midst of an 11-day span between games.

The long period off will give the Steelers plenty of time to recover from their disappointing overtime loss to the Ravens. In that game, kicker Josh Scobee missed two field goals that could have saved the Steelers from a heartbreaking finish. He has since been released by the team.

Foster shared his thoughts about Scobee's failure to get the job done.

"It's a little frustrating, because you're paid to do a job," Foster said. "And he's paid really well do a job, so that's all you ever want from a guy, is to do your job whenever you're called upon. And that goes for me, that goes for the quarterback, receivers, whatever the case may be. So, that's all you want from a guy, and in this sport, you can't really get down on a guy too much because we're harder on ourselves than anyone else."

Foster said that the loss really stung in the days that followed.

"It was a pretty rough few days," Foster said. "You have a lot of emotions into those Baltimore games. It's a conference game, we had a lot going against us, and we had it."

However, even with the long layoff, Foster didn't take too much time to dwell on it, as tough as it was.

"We're pros," Foster said. "We've got about 24 to 48 hours to get over that type of stuff and move on from it. This week is the Chargers."

Plus, he sees a silver lining.

"We wanted that game more than anything, but it's early," Foster said. "That's the best thing about that loss right there, that it's early, and we've got a chance to redeem it throughout the season."
