Pittsburgh will see periods of rain and thunderstorms through the weekend
The rest of the weekend looks pretty much the same as Saturday did, with scattered showers and thunderstorms with overcast skies. That's actually a good thing because sunshine on Sunday would help fuel potentially severe storms.

Aware: Low-end severe storm chance Sunday and Monday afternoon/evening for a few storms with gusty winds/potential hail
Today, we stayed overcast enough that nothing was able to really get going. The cold front that has stalled out just to the northwest of Pittsburgh and extends southwest along the Ohio River Valley is the focus for this stubborn, rainy pattern that will stay in place through early Wednesday, bringing round after round of showers and a few thunderstorms.
This means the Pittsburgh Marathon could be wet with scattered showers and rounds of occasional rain Sunday and Monday.
By Wednesday, things start to clear out, and Thursday looks like a nice, dry day. Late week looks a bit uncertain. Right now, the forecast is dry, but another disturbance could swing through, bringing more rain chances as early as Friday.
