Rabies Vaccine Baits Distributed For Allegheny Co. Raccoons

SOUTH FAYETTE TWP. (KDKA) -- Oral rabies vaccine baits have been distributed throughout South Fayette Township.

The Allegheny County Health Department is warning people to keep their children away from the baits. Additionally, pets should be kept inside or on leashes so the raccoons can eat the baits.

People who see the baits should leave them alone. If the bait is out in the open where contact by pets or children is possible, wear a glove and toss it into deep cover before washing your hands.
