Public Works Adds Streets To Paving Schedule, Pushes Back 2 Projects

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Two major road projects are being pushed back.

The Pittsburgh Public Works Department has rescheduled the repaving work on Centre Avenue and North Neville Street until 2017.

Officials have also announced that 41 streets, totaling about 3.7 additional miles, are being added to this year's paving program.

That's in addition to hundreds of streets already on the list.

They are in various neighborhoods throughout the city, including:

Beechview, Bloomfield, Brighton Heights, Crafton Heights, Crawford Roberts, East Hills, Homewood North, Lincoln Place, Lower Lawrenceville, Manchester, Mt. Washington, Overbrook, Point Breeze North, Point Breeze, Shadyside, Sheraden, Southside Flats, Southside Slopes, Spring Hill, Squirrel Hill North, Squirrel Hill South, Stanton Heights, Summer Hill, Swisshelm Park, Upper Hill, Upper Lawrenceville, Uptown, West End and Westwood.
