5 injured after PRT bus, car collide on North Side

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Five people were hurt after a car collided with a Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus Wednesday morning on the North Side. 

The crash happened around 10 a.m. at the intersection of Cedar Avenue and Suismon Street.

Police said a car crossed the center line and hit the bus head-on. When paramedics got there, the driver of the car was unconscious but breathing and was taken to AGH.

The driver of the bus and three passengers were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries. There were a total of 16 passengers on the bus.  

The bus had minor damage and was driven from the scene, but the car had to be towed.
