Protesters Take To Kennywood To Fight Fla. Orca's Captivity

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Kennywood became the destination once again for local protesters fighting for the release of a Florida killer whale.

Our news partners at the Post-Gazette report that protesters were at the park for a second time Saturday.

They want a Florida marine life park called Miami Seaquarium, owned by the same parent company as Kennywood, to retire an Orca named Lolita that's been in captivity since 1970, reports the Post-Gazette.

The group also protested outside the park earlier this month.
