Probation Officer Accused Of Soliciting Sex From Female Defendants

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- An Allegheny County probation officer is accused of soliciting sex and explicit photos from defendants.

Matthew Mullen, 35, allegedly had inappropriate relationships with at least three of the women he was supervising.

In a criminal complaint, Mullen is accused of telling Jane Doe #1 to send him an explicit photo in exchange for getting out of trouble for driving without a license. He also allegedly asked to buy pain pills from her.

Jane Doe #2 also indicated she had a text message relationship with Mullen. He allegedly told her if she paid him $250, she would not have to attend required D.U.I classes.

Jane Doe #3 told police that she engaged in sex acts with Mullen because she was afraid if she didn't she would get into trouble.

Mullen is charged with involuntary sexual intercourse, sexual assault, bribery in official and political matters, intimidation of a witness, harassment and more.
