Suspect In W. Va. Fatal Bar Shooting Captured After Fleeing With Girlfriend, Baby

TERRA ALTA, W. Va. (KDKA) -- A man who fled with his girlfriend following a fatal shooting at a bar in West Virginia over the weekend is in custody.

The Preston County Sheriff's Office says the search for 33-year-old Aaron Hoard is over. He fled with his girlfriend, Machaela Jeffries, and may have taken their 1-year-old child with them.

Hoard was taken into custody for the fatal shooting of 38-year-old Grant Felton at Shorthorns Saloon in Terra Alta, West Virginia, on Sunday.

Investigators say Hoard ran from the scene after the shooting.

Officials have not said where Hoard was captured, but did say they considered him armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
